RICHLAND-He continues to beat the odds!

Six year old Aidan Zaugg was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer almost two years ago and as the anniversary approaches. Aidan and his family are hopeful.

When we first met Aidan, doctors were only giving him a few months.

So when his mom says he's a miracle, she means it. Aidan's family has gone by the slogan "Miracles Happen Everyday So Why Not Aidan?"

Aidan has been through more in his six years of life than most. But despite everything Aidan is just an ordinary kid.

When Aidan was first diagnosed with the disease he wasn't suppose to make it.But now he's on the road to recovery.

Aidan's doctors say they'll consider him cancer free after five years.

Aidan's mother Tanya said, "Everyday is a landmark day for us. It is a miracle but of course whenever there is an anniversary it is a big deal."

Aidan is scheduled for another MRI early next month. But Aidan's mother says she isn't expecting anything bad.

Neither is Aidan. He is keeping busy with normal kid stuff. Aidan likes sports, loves to play with his dog and he's also taking acting classes.

Aidan's mom says they have had incredible support over the years from the community.

Action News has brought you to a few of those fundraisers over the years. There's one more party still ahead. Aidan's mom plans to throw a huge party for him when he hits that five year mark.
