2 killed in Naches River shooting identified; suspect arrested

YAKIMA, Wash. -- Two people are now confirmed dead after a shooting. It happened just before 4:30 Monday afternoon off 16th Avenue along the Naches River.
Police later arrested a 19-year-old man who will likely face murder charges for both shooting deaths.
A 17-year-old boy was taken to a local hospital where he later died.
18-year-old Jobany B. Martinez was pronounced dead on the scene.
Police said they arrested 19-year-old Lameiro Flores. He is the main suspect in the case. Flores was booked into jail and will likely face murder charges for the shooting deaths of Martinez and the 17-year-old boy.
Police are not searching for any other suspects. The investigation is still ongoing.
The shooting caused problems for drivers in the area too. The on and off ramps were blocked off causing traffic on Highway 12 to back up for miles.
The homicides marks the fourth and fifth of the year in Yakima.
Police told Action News there was another shooting just before 11 p.m. on the 1200 block of Swan Avenue.
Police said the victim was hit in the leg but is expected to survive.
They believe it was gang-related but can't say if it was in retaliation to the earlier shootings.
