KENNEWICK, Wash. -- A teenager has a head wound after he was hurt in an apparent gang shooting Tuesday afternoon in Kennewick.

Police aren't going so far as to confirm anyone was shot but they are saying the boy has wounds that match up with being grazed by a bullet.

The shooting brought out quite the police response to Kennewick Ave. and South Yelm.

Witnesses say the young man had just gotten out of a police cruiser when they hear the pop of gunshots.

Officers said a gang fight had been brewing just a short time earlier. They didn't have any proof of a crime so no one had been arrested until the gunfire.

Officers arrested two-people quickly afterward. They brought in the K-9 unit to find a gun that might have been tossed.

Police said there was not enough evidence to book anyone for the assault. Detectives said they plan to continue interviewing witnesses.
