New High School Academy coming to CBC

TRI-CITIES- There is a new academy coming to CBC it will be offering another option to kids who have had trouble in a traditional high school.

Students between 16 and 20 years old who need to get their high school degrees will have a chance to get their High school diploma.

Whether they dropped out or are at risk of dropping out the academy is an alternative to going the route of a GED.

“We have a set of three classrooms available, we are going to be hiring 2 instructors who are going to be providing the services on a daily basis. We also have adjunct faculty that will be providing services as well,” says Leonor De Maldonado, Director of CBC High School Academy.

The academy anticipates 90 students from Kennewick and Richland.

Pasco hasn't decided if its students will participate.
