Looking for a ride? Waitlist for vanpools down
TRI-CITIES - KEPR is following up on the backlog of vanpools we told you about earlier this year. We learned the wait time has now been cut in half.
Ben Franklin Transit says it will take about two months to get yourself in a vanpool. Seats freed up with the Hanford layoffs.
Those who use vanpools say it's been a big help.
“Having the vanpool is just wonderful, I mean I have to have it because I don't have a car and I do have to get around, I live in Pasco and do business in Richland,” said rider Alison Bopp.
Ben Franklin Transit says additional vans are available to meet the other needs, but they're currently in the shop.
