Pasco hopes grant money can make a safer 4th Avenue
PASCO - KEPR discovered Pasco plans to use more than a million dollars in grant money to help make Fourth Avenue safer.
The city told us safety has been a priority on 4th because of fatalities a few years back. Pasco already added a flashing crosswalk near Lourdes.
The new money would help slow down traffic by adding a roundabout at 4th and 3rd. People are ready for a change.
“The thing is nobody stops and I've always stopped, I had to walk up and down the street when I was working and didn't have a car, and I had to make my way up to work, and nobody would stop I could get over to the other side,” said Fourth Avenue walker Clara Ray.
Pasco says the project is one of its top priorities in the new year and expects work to begin in the spring.
