Man killed by freight train in Pasco
PASCO -- A man was killed after being hit by a train Thursday night near the Pasco Amtrak station. Pasco Police received a call just before 8:30 from a train operator who saw the man's body.
KEPR learned a man in his 40s was somehow walking along the tracks when he was hit by a freight train. It's not clear why he was on the tracks, but we do know it was not a passenger train that struck him.
Officer Jason Miller from Pasco PD was at the scene and said, there is, "No indication right now of any foul play or anything, but it's really early in the investigation. It's hard to say, but it appears at all purposes right now to be an accident."
