BMCC Plans to Add New Career Center
PENDLETON- Blue Mountain Community College is bringing in nearly $800,000 in grant money and plans to have a new career center.
The grant is spread out over the next three years with projects that include new certification classes, more online class options, and the chief project of a new career center.
The center would create three new jobs and help find more jobs for students.
“You see a lot of students, who aren't doing well, because they don’t have a clear or defined academic plan, they don’t have a good career or focus, this will help tie all that together,” said AVP of Student Enrollment Harvey Franklin.
The school expects the career center to be open next spring.
