Hermiston Man Arrested for Sex Abuse of Child
HERMISTON POLICE NEWS RELEASE -- On the 29th of September 2011, at approximately 9PM, John A. Bindley 49 years of age of 339 E Highland Avenue, Hermiston, was taken into custody for his alleged involved in a sex abuse investigation conducted by members of the Hermiston Police Department.
Bindley was transported to the Hermiston Police Department where he was interviewed about his actions by Detective Bill Osborne. Bindley was ultimately charged with Sex Abuse in the First Degree, Sodomy in the First Degree, and Unlawful Sexual Penetration in the First Degree. The alleged victim in the matter is an 8 year old female.
Bindley was processed the Hermiston Police Department before being lodged at the Umatilla County Jail in Pendleton. Assistance with this investigation was provided by the Department of Human Services and the Umatilla County District Attorney’s Office.
