New Bridge Causing Speed Problem in Pendleton
PENDLETON - KEPR is following up on the replacement of Quinney Bridge that has created major traffic jams on the way to McKay Creek Elementary school. KEPR found the project finished on-time and on-budget.
Locals are relieved to have the main road back, but neighbors say there are now speeders racing through the neighborhoods and on the bridge.
“The traffic in our neighborhood has increased substantially and the traffic on this street has increased substantially,” said neighbor Steve Fisher. “People coming down here running stop signs, and it's a danger for little kids.”
In total, Pendleton spent nearly two-million dollars to replace the old bridge.
