PASCO -- Year-round school is becoming more of a reality for public school kids.

A task force studying solutions to over-crowding has recommended to the school board that Pasco should do the year-round plan. That would affect only elementary kids. They would be on a three months on, one month off schedule. It is expected to allow a third more kids to come into the district.

"Even if they were to pass a bond in 2012 at the earliest schools wouldn't be built until 2015. So it's not like you can just pass a bond and build a school tomorrow," says Greg Falk, Task Force leader.

The schedule would start next fall. The board will decide on whether to adopt it in about a month.
