BENTON CITY -- KEPR continues to cover the case of the high school principal accused of threatening a student with a knife.

The head of Ki-Be Schools told Action News the rules on weapons on campus are different for adults.

But the state superintendent's office tells KEPR faculty members are only allowed to carry knives if they leave them in their cars.

You're not allowed to have them in your pocket, purse or in a holster.

Parents in Benton City told us they didn't feel they got their questions answered in Monday's school board meeting and still want to know if Principal Wayne Barrett was disciplined.

"We want to know what was done to him. We have no idea as far as punishment or discipline," says Brigit Strunk.

The school board told the crowd "appropriate action" was taken against Principal Barrett, but refused to elaborate, saying it's a confidential personnel issue.
