PASCO SCHOOL DISTRICT PRESS RELEASE:

At the conclusion of the three-day Labor Day weekend enrollment numbers in the Pasco School District took another jump today with total enrollment now at 15,277 students, an increase of 612 students, or 4.2 percent, over this time last year.

Enrollment numbers for Sept. 6, were:
Grades K-5: 7905, an increase of 301 students, or 3.9 percent, over the day five count in 2010.
Grades 6-8: 3467, an increase of 145 students, or 4.4 percent, over the day five count in 2010.
Grades 9-12: 3905, an increase of 166 students, or 4.4 percent, over the day five count in 2010.

Student enrollment in the Pasco School District has steadily increased an average of 5.5 percent per year for the past ten years. With continued growth and new home construction in the city, District officials expect this trend to continue into the future. Projections indicate that the student population in the Pasco School District will surpass 20,000 by 2016.
