Child Rape in Benton City: "You are my prisoner"
BENTON COUNTY -- Deputies say Richard Cain, 46, raped the daughter of an ex-girlfriend, beginning when the child was just eight. Court papers say she was frequently tied up and attacked. It all started on a quaint stretch of North District Line Road in the midst of farmland west of Benton City.
Court papers accuse Richard Cain of repeatedly raping the child of an ex-girlfriend. The crime started when the child was just eight years old. Court papers say Cain even tied the girl up telling her she was his 'prisoner.' The documents also say the victim's brother would often see his sister taken into Cain's room and the door locked.
Officials conducted a search warrant on the child rape accusations and found seventy marijuana plants as well as three pounds of pot and dozens of guns.
Along with the pot plants they seized instructions on how to grow weed and notes on how the plants were doing. Papers say Cain isn't talking to police while he sits in jail on charges of child rape. Deputies couldn't confirm weapons charges but expect to file more charges for marijuana possession.
Cain will be arraigned on the charges later this week.
