Meth, Stolen Goods Found in Hermiston Home

UMATILLA CO. SHERIFF NEWS RELEASE -- At about 7:00am on Thursday May 19, 2011, Members from Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of Oregon State Police SWAT, and Umatilla/Morrow County Drug team executed a search warrant at 1499 Townsend Road, Hermiston, OR. Sheriff’s Deputies blocked off a portion of Townsend Road, North of Hwy 207, for a little over an hour to protect the team of officers going into the house, camp trailers and outbuildings on the property.

During the search warrant, Ricardo Maldonado-Vicente (19 yoa), Edith Pito Flores (23 yoa), Shannon Kathleen Farrington (40 yoa), and Donna Sue Wilson (31 yoa) were arrested on several charges and lodged in Umatilla County Jail. There were also three Juveniles found inside the residence, two were under 5 years old, and the third was 12 years old.

Agencies involved in the search were Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office, Umatilla/Morrow County Drug team (B.E.N.T.) Hermiston Police Department, Oregon State Police, and Department of Human Services/Child Protection agency.

During the search Methamphetamine, packaging material and cutting agent were discovered, along with a small amount of Marijuana. There was also a stolen firearm, and other recovered items that were previously reported in five separate Burglaries.

“The individuals involved in this are accused of trading methamphetamine for stolen items,” said Undersheriff Terry Rowan.

Farrington was charged with Theft by receiving, frequenting a place where controlled substances are used, Possession of Methamphetamine and endangering the welfare of a minor.

Maldonado was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Manufacture and Delivery of Methamphetamine, Frequenting a place where controlled substances are used, Theft by receiving, 3 counts of Recklessly Endangering the welfare of a minor, Forgery I, Animal Neglect and an immigration hold was placed on him.

Flores was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Manufacture and Delivery of Methamphetamine, Frequenting a place where controlled substances are used, Theft by receiving, 3 counts of Recklessly Endangering the welfare of a minor, Forgery I, and Animal Neglect.

Wilson was charged with Hermiston Municipal warrant for failure to pay fines, Theft by receiving, Frequenting a place where controlled substances are used, Possession of Methamphetamine and Endangering the welfare of a Minor.

The Juveniles were placed in the care of the Department of Human Services/Child Protection agency.
