Nationwide Campaign Launched to Boycott Gas on Friday
TRI-CITIES -- An email campaign is asking you not to buy gas this Friday, hoping to make an impact on the rising gas prices.

But you're already buying less gas as it is, in fact -- there's concern these gas prices will really hurt our economy.

It's now been five weeks running that drivers bought less gas than they did a year ago, the last time we cut back so much was during snowstorms in December.

Now more than two-thirds of gas stations say sales are down, probably because prices have jumped about 40 cents in just a few weeks.

In the Tri-Cities, the current average is $3.87 a gallon, while last month it was $3.50.
