WALLA WALLA -- A Liquor Control crackdown ended with quite a few wine sellers busted in Walla Walla. Eight out of 14 places sold to a minor without checking ID.

Those included Cavu Cellars, Five Star Cellars, Lodmell Cellars, Rotie Cellars, the Marcus Whitman Hotel gift shop, Locati Cellers, Don Carlo Vineyard, and DaMa Wines.

This is actually the second time DaMa Wines was busted in less than a year, and it's now facing a week-long suspension of its license.

Six locations involved in the compliance check did not sell to the Liquor Board's undercover minor. Those included Adamant Cellars, Elegante Cellars, LeeVeLooLee Cellars, Patit Creek Cellars, Walla Faces, and Tero Estates.

Mark Jansen from the state Liquor Control Board said the fail rate was much lower than the board would like to see, "We're big on education and offered it to each one who made the sale, we'll follow up and hopefully get some training out there," said Jansen.

The last check the board did in Walla Walla was in May, which is when DaMa Wines also failed.
