Kids Get Lesson On Raptors
BURBANK -- Kids of all ages got to learn about "birds of prey" at the McNary Environmental Education Center.
"Blue Mountain Wildlife" brought five birds for kids to see including an eagle, hawk and owl.
It's part of an urban wild land ranger program giving kids a chance to see things they wouldn't see in their own backyard.
"I liked to listen to the person talking about the birds and to look at all the skulls and fur," Sophie Smucker said.
The birds showcased today were rescued and rehabilitated.
Every second Saturday the McNary Environmental Education Center holds events to teach visitors about wildlife.
