Fatal Accident in Burbank
BURBANK -- A deadly accident killed a man in Burbank Thursday afternoon. Three cars were involved in the wreck at the intersection of Ice Harbor Road and Emerald Road.
Two people in a red pick-up truck flipped after being rear-ended by a semi and colliding with an oncoming mini-van. 31 year old Jeremy Horat was riding in the pick-up, and died on impact. The young woman driving the truck was immediately flown to Kadlec.
Troopers on the scene told KEPR the driver was able to talk after being removed, and that she didn't suffer any apparent life-threatening injuries.
Officers are looking at why the semi ran into the pick-up. Trooper Brian Bond said, "It is unknown at this time whether or not the truck was actually speeding. The truck is being currently inspected by Washington State Patrol commercial vehicle units."
The road was closed for four hours while investigators cleared the scene.
