WEST RICHLAND - Growth is continuing to come to West Richland. The Richland School District recently purchased 15 acres of land where they plan to build a new elementary school.
There are no immediate plans to build a school because voters would have to pass a bond to pay for it. In fact, the district told KEPR Action News the earliest that would happen is in 2013. The last bond passed was in 2003 and the district promised voters it would be another ten years before they needed another bond.
Richland schools told us they will continue to look at expansion, but for now this is their only acquisition.
