PASCO -- A grass fire ignited in Pasco, burning about an acre and a half near the cable bridge. Firefighters say they're lucky they were able to put it out quickly because it's located next to a business and it could have been much worse.
Ferguson Enterprises on Washington Avenue was not damaged even though the wind spread the fire fast.
"Fire danger level is still very high and the temperatures have dropped and that helps, but we have very unstable winds just because temperatures have dropped doesn't mean our fire danger has dropped yet," Capt. Dave Hare with the Pasco Fire Department said.
Investigators aren't sure what caused the fire, but they say there was a power outage in the area Sunday morning that could have something to do with it.
