No More "Monster" Garages
RICHLAND--KEPR Action News uncovered the concerns about "monster" garages built in Richland and now we’ve learned the city has outlawed you from building a shed, shop or garage that's taller than your house.
The issue came up when neighbors complained to the city about a huge garage at Cottonwood and Cedar.
There was no law on the books to ban it. So the city changed the rules. They take effect Sunday. Buildings already standing will be grandfathered in.
