Locals React to Senator Murray's Win
RICHLAND, Wash. -- Now that Democratic Senator Patty Murray has been re-elected, after a contentious race with Republican Dino Rossi, we reached out to both parties for some feedback on the win.
Benton County Democratic Central Committee Bob Parazin said "It wasn't Benton County or eastern Washington that carried her into office nor eastern Washington for that matter. So from a democratic standpoint, I'm disappointed in how poorly she did here,"
Republican Senator Jerome Delvin, of the 8th Legislative District said "It's close so that ought to send the message that not everyone is happy with what she's been doing and I really think its been a repudiation of the "Obama-care" and the things that have happened the last two years."
Despite promoting how much she supports Hanford, vets and agriculture, local voting numbers showed local support for Senator Murray wasn't any higher than when she ran in 1998.
