Chamber Encouraging to "Go Local"
TRI-CITIES - Keeping jobs in our area is directly related to keeping money here. And now the Tri-City Regional Chamber of Commerce is trying to hammer that message home with a new campaign: "Go Local".

"We want people to ask themselves, 'Who am I benefiting if I shop online or out of town?' It might be convenient, but think about a local business that might be hurting or going out of business. So help our local community and purchase locally, " said Lori Mattson with the Tri-City Regional Chamber of Commerce

You're going to see a lot of signs hanging on local spots and TV ads, too. It's your cue to stop and shop.

The chamber says even chain stores contribute to our local tax base. They want you to stay in town and limit spending online.
