BOLILLO CON JALAPENO
4 BOLILLOS
INGREDIENTS:
4 oz sugar
½ oz salt
3/4 of a liter of water
½ oz vegetable lard
2 lb flour
2 oz yeast
FILLING INGREDIENTS:
12oz cream cheese
12 Jalapeno slices from a can
TOPPING:
1 whole beaten egg and 2 oz sesame seeds
Knead all the ingredients until it doesn’t stick to your hand; let it sit for 30 min.
Cut the masa into four pieces about 4 oz ea let it sit for 10 more min. With a big wood roll, flatten each piece like a little pizza and in the center put 3oz of cream cheese and three jalapeno slices, roll the masa to cover the cheese and jalapenos and make three cuts on top to show the filling. With a little brush spread the egg over the bread and sprinkle ½ oz sesame seeds.
Let it sit for another 20 min. then bake at 380* F for 17 min
