Craig's List ads lead police to suspected thief
KENNEWICK POLICE NEWS RELEASE -- Williams, Corey Javon; aka Corey Pugh, 36, would look for homes in foreclosure, break in and re-key the house. He would then present himself as the owner and rent the homes to citizens. On Decemebr 23, 2013, a search warrant was executed at 4619 W Grand Ronde for documents. Williams was arrested for Theft in the 1st Degree. Five homes belonging to mortage companies or citizens were known to have been rented by Willaims without the owner's consent. Williams had an additional 4 rental homes listed on Craig's List. The investigation into additional rental homes being rented by Williams is continuing.
