Richland student improving after collapse
RICHLAND SCHOOL DISTRICT -- The Richland High Freshman who collapsed on Friday is doing well according to his father.
The Richland School District spoke with Jeremy Brewer's father on the phone yesterday where he said he's " talking and being argumentative... he has no memory of what happened and probably won't for a couple of days. "
He was flown to Seattle Children's Hospital from Kadlec in the afternoon. Jeremy was reportedly running around with his friends during lunch when he went down.
Thanks to the quick actions of school staff, they were able to get his heart pumping with an external defibrillator. Doctors will continue monitoring him and try to find out why it stopped and may ultimately insert a defibrillator if they can't find the reason.
His family thanks everyone for their thoughts and prayers.
