Pregnant Teen Found Murdered in Pasco
PASCO, Wash. -- We now know the identity of the young woman found murdered in Pasco. The pregnant woman's name is Shenay Greenough, according to our partners at the Tri-City Herald. Court documents show Greenough was allegedly strangled by Kurtis Chapman.
Franklin County Prosecutors now have a warrant out for Chapman's arrest and are charging him with second-degree murder. As of late Tuesday, police were still looking for him.
Pasco Police told Action News they found Greenough's body Monday on the 400 block of Waldemar Avenue, the home where Chapman lives. Investigators and Washington State Patrol crime lab technicians spent most of the day Tuesday searching the home for clues and collecting evidence.
West Richland police told Action News that Greenough was reported missing this weekend and was about eight or nine months pregnant. Neighbors said Greenough and Chapman were dating.
"It's kind of numbing to have something like that, especially when it's just across the street," neighbor Jeannie Lundgren said. "You never know what's going on behind the doors of your neighbors and that's the scariest thing."
An autopsy is set for this Thursday.
Again, Chapman is still on the run so if you have any information, call Pasco Police at 545-3421.
