Finishing the Four Lane
WALLULA -- Delays have been running drivers fifteen minutes behind schedule since the start of construction between Wallula and Walla Walla.

Next week, they start their final phase of paving and after that it's home free.

Some people are actually going to miss the traffic that comes with construction.

Owner of Crazy Mary's on Highway 12, Doug Lundgren said, "Construction's great. It's good for business, it's good for traffic flows, safety, and everything."

Washington DOT says once the final phase of paving is through cars shouldn't be slowed down more than a few minutes.

That should happen at the end of next week.

This phase is to be completely done next month.
