CONNELL -- Wednesday night, Action News talked to a long time family friend who says they still believe Wendy Rae was the victim in last week's double shooting.

"I don't see how the coroner can even speculate Wendy's death as a suicide before all the facts are in," said Lynn Lyle.

Lynn Lyle is a long time family friend.

She's not a detective, but doesn't buy for one second Wendy took her own life.

"Have police investigated for 3rd party threats, what about their mental status, there's too many unknown factors," said Lyle.

"What I've initially heard, Wendy's entrance wounds were right behind her right ear and the gun was found to the left of her," said Lyle.

Lyle also looks back at the Wendy she knew.

A loner when she wanted to be but, wendy was also social when she wanted to be.

Lyle tells us nothing makes family and friends think Wendy killed herself.

"You know one of Wendy's papers, she loved to write and draw, one of her letters said 10 reasons why to be thankful for my life, she had 12 so why would she have 12 and it was suicide," said Lyle.

Investigators are waiting for some test results to come back, a fact that anger's Lyle.

She calls the suicide ruling, jumping the gun and for the sake of the family wants cops to be a little more cautious.

"Well, why are they saying this before all the facts come in, it just doesn't make sense to me, why don't they wait for all the forensics to come back, that's going to be key to this case," said Lyle.

It could take three months for investigators to get those test results back.

As for Jason Jansen, police say he lost his right eye and lost the use of his left eye.
