Boys & Girls Club Get New Art Room
By Molly Kelleher
PASCO - Talk about a real work of art. The folks at the Boys & Girls Club got to see their newly renovated art room for the first time Monday.
The club got a big donation from Lowe's for new cabinets, floors, sinks and lights. That's $27,000 worth of improvements. More than 100 volunteers helped out including one Lowe's employee who cashed in a week of vacation time to get the job done. "From day one when they said we were doing this I was all for it and I put in for my vacation because it really is important that kids have a positive place to go instead of out on the streets," said Lindsey Page. And it's not just the art room, the auditorium got a new stage as well. That's 500 hours volunteer time. |
