This is the modular at Rocky Heights Elementary that caught fire during the first week of class. Now looking at it inside, it seems almost brand new. For the first time in nearly two months, the dozen students and teachers got to settle into their familiar territory.
“It's great to come home. It felt like coming home. We were supported by the district. People were very accomodating and kind and helpful. When we went to armand, they were so open and welcoming and came home and everyone has been great to help us out,” said Teacher Betty Cleveland.
While the classroom was being remodeled, the kids and teachers were bused back and forth from Armand Larive Middle School.
