PASCO - It was back to school for the governor today.
She dropped by several classrooms at Frost Elementary in Pasco talking about swine flu. She hit on the obvious points of washing hands and playing it safe. She even showed one class where she got her own seasonal flu shot earlier in the day. And then the governor talked about taking this matter seriously.
“We had 164 hospitalizations with H1N1. 16 people have died. The parents should be concerned. They should not panic. They should just be thoughtful in how they advise their kids and what they do,” said Governor Chris Gregoire.
The governor also talked about the H1N1 vaccine. The state should be receiving its first doses by the middle of next month.
