PENDLETON - The Pendleton round up is next month and the city is preparing for one big obstacle.

The major construction is on Court Street. The job won't be finished until next year and the Round Up brings in 60,000 people, so traffic will be a serious concern.

“We've identified streets that have traditionally been closed that will allow us the opportunity to move traffic off Court Street if we have an accident or somebody fell and needed medical attention of that nature,” said Pendleton Police Chief Stu Roberts.

Construction on Court Street will continue even when the Round Up starts next month.
