BURBANK - Police find a massive pot grow in Burbank. In fact, it's one of the largest ever found in the state.
More than a dozen agencies are at a Burbank tree farm right now, trying to get rid of tens of thousands of plants. Officials say they're looking at 70,000 to 80,000 marijuana plants. It's the same spot where about 40,000 plants were found last month. Officers say surveillance has been set up in the past few weeks, but none of the growers were found.
“This is no doubt the largest marijuana growing operation in the history of the state of Washington. We hit it earlier this year because we wanted to get those plants harvested before the bad guys did,” said Walla Walla County Sheriff Mike Humpreys.
The plants have an estimated value of more than 200 million dollars.
