As those lawmakers go back to work in Olympia with their goals, we asked what you'd like to see accomplished this session. People we talked to had an easier time naming a top issue than than the politicians who vote on them.

"I'm from Walla Walla. Is Dave Mastin still there?"

Nope, he's not there anymore.

"The only name i know is Doc Hastings."

Close, he's a U.S. rep, not a state representative.

"Oh ah Jerome Delvin?"

We have a winner!

At WSU Tri-Cities we stumped some students who tried to name something that came out of last year's session.

"Last year? You know I can't."

WSU Tri-Cities became one of the biggest pieces of legislation to affect our region last year. This fall the school will become a four year university. But that's the only thing folks we talked to could remember. No talk of gas tax or the transportation bill. This year, people didn't get hung up on those issues.

Education is still the hot button issue. It's what politicians are talking about and what people asked for.

"We need better funding. I'm a needy student so education is very high on my list. "

The 105-day regular session will run until the end of April.
