MILTON-FREEWATER -- Investigators have no reason to doubt the remains found in Milton-Freewater belong to Oklahoma girl Cheyenne Wolf. She's the little girl thought to have been killed and her body buried and unearthed nearly a-half-dozen times by her parents Abel and Denise Wolf.

The Umatilla County Sheriff John Trumbo told Action News, the size of the body, age of the bones, and the very specific medical conditions Cheyenne Wolf had are all consistent with the body they found at the storage facility in Milton-Freewater.

Cheyenne Wolf reportedly died last April in her Oklahoma home and her dad and step-mom have been taking the body with them as they moved for more than a year.

It's still not clear how Cheyenne died. Documents show it happened at her family home on Bochito, OK.

Abel Wolf told agents that the family got into an argument at dinner because Cheyenne was not eating. He said he went outside to smoke with another of his daughters. They were outside for 15 to 20 minutes, Abel said, when he heard a thump. Upon returning to the house, Abel said, Cheyenne was not acting normally and did not seem to understand what was happening. Abel said he examined the girl's pupils, and they seemed normal. Abel apparently thought Cheyenne was tired so he put her to bed. The next day, Denise told him after he returned from work that the girl had died.

Documents show one of the sisters was involved, stating "one on occasion (Denise) went into the house and found (a sister) kicking and stomping Cheyenne Wolf in the bedroom."

Abel and Denise decided not to report the girl's death to police.

So how did Cheyenne die hundreds of miles away only for her bones to be found in Milton-Freewater?

Edward Davis is Denise Wolf's estranged brother. He talked to Action News about his understandinf of the story. He took us out to the hills that overlooks his dad's property in Milton-Freewater, where he believes Denise was hiding Cheyenne's body in an old chicken coop on the property.

"The remains we believe have been removed any number of times, half a dozen times within a year and a half span," Jessica Brown said, Public Information Officer for the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI).

Edward told Action News, this trip to the hill was the first time he had any indication his neice's body could have been hidden here. It's not even clear when eleven-year old Cheyenne Wolf died.

"It's hard to follow because of the timeline," Brown said. "I can tell you that the last know sighting of Cheyenne was in April."

That was April of a last year. Her parents never reported her death. Police believe she was first stored in a shed, then buried under a porch at a Bochita, Oklahoma trailer.

"We do believe she was buried at least the second time there in Bochito and then unearthed and taken Montana," Brown said.

Four months later, Denise moved to Oregon, while Cheyenne's dad, Abel, left for Montana. Officers believe Cheyenne's body went with him. Worried their secret might get out, investigators suspect the body was brought first to Milton-Freewater. Edward suspects she was hidden in their dad's chicken coop and then eventually moved to this storage facility a few blocks away.

Police raided the site and the medical examiner says the bones found seem to match the missing girl possibly killed in oklahoma, and uncovered in Edward's new town.

Abel and Denise Wolf will be in court Thursday in Montana and could be brought back to Oklahoma to face charges. Right now, they are both accused of a felony for the unlawful disposal of a body.
