PROSSER - Benton County's animal control problem will finally go to the voters.
On Monday, Benton County Commissioners gave the go-ahead to put a property tax initiative on the November ballot.
It would cost you $14 dollars for every $100,000 dollars your home is worth.
Only unincorporated Benton County homeowners would pay into it, not people in the cities.
The money would go to building a million dollar animal control facility.
It could be at the West Richland facility, but that's not for sure.
