PASCO, Wash. - The project that started near the beginning of summer has caused a lot of detours for drivers.
The road has been near impassable at times. Surrounding businesses say they've seen a drop in sales.
Now that the asphalt is going down store workers are starting to see things turn around.
Store employee Lala Hernandez said, "They're starting to come in now. They stopped coming in for a while cuz they were being stopped and then they were this. Now they're comin' in. I like it, I like coming to work now."
The project is scheduled to be finished in the next couple weeks.
