Just when you thought it was over, the governor says not so fast.
A few items still needed to be hammered out. As it stands now, a last minute school levy item could be devastating for two local districts.
While most Republicans are not happy about this special session. Representative Larry Haler told us, Kiona-Benton and Prosser would be the hardest hit if there's no levy equalization.
Basically, without it, richer Seattle School Districts get homeowners to pay less and get more. On this side of the Cascades, our cash-poor communities pay more per house.
"To be honest, I'm very nervous about the overall outcome it's going to be a challenge, said Ki-Be Superintendent Rom Castilleja.
On Monday, the governor singled out this levy issue as one that will need to be discussed in the special session. But she won't call lawmakers back right away and she's hoping for a one or two day session.
