WA STATE--The execution team at the pen recently resigned.
The four people would have administered lethal injections to death row inmates.
They resigned over worries their names would be made public.
While in town, Attorney General Rob McKenna said this is really unprecedented.
"It has never happened before to my knowledge that the execution team has resigned and the reason it's never happened before is that a judge has never before ruled that their identities could be revealed, " McKenna said.
In the past the identities have been protected.
Lawyers for the inmates say they didn't want the names just their qualifications.
