BOARDMAN-- A blast in Boardman killed a man, shocking the small town.
News of the accident had already ripped through the community.
"It's more shock and surprise," Matt Ginther said.
The blast at the Con Agra Lamb Weston processing plant in Boardman killed 21 year old Kevin Gregerson from Hermiston.
He worked for Northwest Metal Fabrications.
"People are pretty shook up about it because they have a good record of being safety conscious," Ginther said.
It's still not clear exactly what happened.
Police could only tell us a witness reported a flash and a boom at a separator tank on the site and Gregerson was buried a special team from the Depot had to be brought in to remove his body.
You can never be too safe you always have to watch out even when you do your best freakish accidents can happen.
Right now OSHA is handling the investigation and they say they haven't determined a cause of the accident, they aren't expecting an answer for a few months.
