The 'Open It:' Will It Work?

Have you ever bought something...and the plastic packaging it came in was so hard to open...that it made you feel like you wanted to throw the thing across the room? Well you're not alone...and there is even a term for it...it is called "wrap rage"... and in this week's "Will It Work?" Troy tests a tool that might put that rage to rest.

It seems everything these days comes in some sort of plastic packaging. The real question is how do you open this thing to get to what you bought?

Well, there's a brand new product out there called the "Open It" and it says it will do just that ...open up your packages...and it claims to be four tools in one...so lets see what this thing has.

At first glance, you'll no doubt notice the large cutting head...this is the no frills...get to the point part of the "open it"...and you can see how easy it works. The next tool is nestled in the handle...it's a retractable razor blade...it's incredibly sharp and easy to use. Also built into the handle is a flip out screw driver to help you get to those battery compartments.

This thing made short work of all this plastic on the ink cartridge combo pack...and I tell ya...if you're someone who needs to open up plastics...this is a great tool.

Of course -- don't leave that thing lying around after you open the toy -- it's certainly not for kids.

The "Open It" works really well...even though it looks a little scary.

So on our "will it work?" scale of "Get It" or "Forget It"...I say "get it."
