Wheelchair-Bound Woman Victim of Hit and Run
By Rudabeh Shahbazi
KENNEWICK-- Police are looking for the driver of a white SUV that hit Kennewick resident Dianna Law on 10th Ave. last night.
Law has MS and is confined to a wheelchair. She was on her way to the store on her motorized wheelchair at around 10:30 PM, when she says a van hit her and took off. She spun into a parked car and fell out of her wheelchair. She was taken to KGH with a concussion, but did not suffer any broken bones. "I have a triangle," said Law. "I had light clothes on. There's no excuse for the way they hit me." Law was in the opposite lane of traffic as she maneuvered around a parked car when she was hit. Her wheelchair is in pieces and she is immobile without it. Kennewick police are asking anyone with information about the driver to come forward. |
