RICHLAND -- A lot of people will be spending this unofficial end to summer outdoors. And what better way then with some tunes by the river.

It's the 14th year of the Tumbleweed Music Festival. Hundreds of people were in Richland's Howard Amon Park Saturday to hear musicians from all over the region and as far away as New Orleans.

That's four stages with more than 100 artists and it's free all weekend long.

"It really is a volunteer vision that makes this work. Before and after, setting up and tearing down. The volunteer MCs and people running the booth. It's a labor of lover and spirit," said Wes Weddell, a singer/songwriter.

Action News found out it costs about $24,000 to put this all together. Organizers get money from Richland arts grants and a state grant. Plus add local business sponsors and all those volunteers to make it all happen.

If you missed it Saturday, the music starts up again Sunday morning at 11.
