The Richland School Board's on a mission to find a new superintendent.
Not an easy task, the last time they had to fill the job, 11 years ago.
Board members and the public weighed in on some of the qualities and strengths they'd like to see in the next superintendent.
Many board members spoke in support of Deputy Superintendent Jean Lane stepping up to the plate.
She's been mentored by Superintendent Richard Semler.
But it's still up in the air whether or not they want to do a *national search, that would cost thousands of dollars.
Semler announced his retirement earlier this year.
At the next board meeting, more talk about the process of finding the perfect match for the job.
