HANFORD, Wash. -- Thousands of workers at the Vit Plant got into the Christmas spirit handing out tens of thousands in donations to Toys for Tots.

Workers took a break as Santa and Mrs. Claus drove up in a sleigh.

Thousands of toys were loaded onto a truck by U-S Marines. Toys for Tots directors say they wouldn't be able to meet the community's needs without this donation.

"When you do the math, it's a couple hundred thousand dollars that we have to generate every year. So this is a huge part of our campaign every year and these guys do a fantastic job," says Staff Sergeant Glen Carter.

The toys will cover roughly seven thousand kids right here in the Tri-Cities.
