Toys For Tots recuiting toys and volunteers

TRI-CITIES, Wash. - More than 1500 local families have asked for help this year up one-third from last year.

So far, they've only brought in enough toys to fill about 200 requests.

Volunteers are also hard to come by, only six are on board to sort through and distribute the toys. This makes it almost impossible for the organization to complete their mission of spreading Christmas to needy kids.

Former Marine and organizer Glen Carter said, "Well have to cut back. We'll have to go back through the families we've already done, take toys out of the bags and well, everybody will get a toy it's just they probably won't get as much."

Toys will be given to families this Saturday.
