TRI-CITIES, Wash. - Franklin and Benton counties had a small surge in new voters signing up to cast their vote.

There were many ways to register this year including a signup through Facebook. This the very last day to register and it had to be done in-person.

Franklin County offices are now closed but you're in luck if you live in Benton County. They're staying open until 9pm tonight if you need to go in to register to vote.

Ballot returns are pacing more than 20 percent in both counties so far.
