Rose Street one of many needed road projects
WALLA WALLA, Wash. -- Walla Walla has long been looking at fixing some of their beat up roads. And the Rose Street project has become a heated topic for drivers in the city.

Almost two-million dollars is being pumped into re-surfacing and re-striping the road to make it four-lanes.

The project is set to be completed by the end of the month, but some residents want more repairs to other streets.

"They're all messed up. They have a lot of pot-holes and uh--it's like every time you drive, you're just messing up your own car," say Michael Gonzalez.

At a city council meeting earlier this week..some residents requested Rose Street be re-striped to include a bike lane.

Safety surveys determined the current four-lane configuration was best.

The city says fixing the dangerous pot-holes was the top priority for the project.
